Windows AAX/VST UI Engineer

Windows developer interested in building native plugin & JUCE interfaces. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of how, why, and where Windows UX patterns differ from Mac UX patterns.

S/he would work directly on new audio apps, plugins, and software features.

Key Qualifications:

  • Extensive Windows development experience using Visual Studio
  • Fluency in C, C++, and a CLI language
  • OpenGL & Direct2D graphical interface development experience
  • JUCE framework experience
  • Familiarity with AAX/VST/VST3 SDK’s
  • Passion for audio, music-making, & sound

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in a functional programming language or LISP dialect (a significant part of our build system is written in Clojure)
  • Music, film, game audio production experience
  • DAW familiarity: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase

Relocation to Los Angeles, CA is not required.

 

Audio Processing / DSP Algorithm Engineer

Deep technical background in digital & audio signal processing, desire to do new, awesome things with audio. The ideal candidate will have a research background in audio algorithm development and real-world implementation experience.

S/he would work directly on new audio apps, plugins, software features, processing routines, etc.

Key Qualifications:

  • PhD / Masters in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Sound Engineering or equivalent
  • Good fundamentals in digital signal & audio processing (especially Fourier theory, wavelets, sample rate / bit depth, convolution, filter design)
  • Experience researching and creating new audio technologies
  • Contribute audio ideas and prototypes
  • Fluency in C, C++, MATLAB, & experience porting MATLAB <-> C code
  • Knowledge of analog audio hardware & circuits
  • Working knowledge of acoustics, spatial audio, human hearing, & 3D audio
  • Audio lab, measurement, & statistical analysis experience
  • Passion for audio, music-making, & sound

Preferred Qualifications:

  • iOS / Android development experience
  • Ray tracing, graphics processing
  • Algorithm profiling & performance tuning
  • Good ears / timbral ear training
  • Music, film, game audio production
